This place is always busy! I think it’s best value for money for the options available airside here. Food was fast. Staff were friendly and helpful and I found a table. It’s mainly self service but that’s fine for me. It’s faster and more accurate ordering.

Possibly the best Spoons we’ve ever been to! 5am and all the staff (who must have been tired from night shifts) were so cheery and chatty, clearing our table and checking in on us, wishing us a good trip, etc. Everything came out so quickly, the cocktails were amazing and food was great value for an airport. Really set us off on a good note for the trip. I never normally write reviews but just had to as I hope the staff are paid well and appreciated for their work

Considering how busy this place is, the service was excellent and the food was good. Eating breakfast at the ungodly hour of 5am should be outlawed but that’s life :-)

Last Saturday, we had breakfast at The Flying Horse Wetherspoons (Gatwick Airport, South Terminal). Given our early start (5 AM), we decided to give Wetherspoons a go over our trusted Nandos —and we’re glad we did! The service was excellent, particularly regarding our allergy requirements. Here’s what stood out: They showed us a tablet (similar to Nando’s) with detailed product and allergen information. They radioed the kitchen to confirm the allergy order and ensured it would be prepared first to minimise contamination risks. The meal was delivered with an allergy flag, which added reassurance. A special shoutout to our server, Carmen, for making our morning even better!

Good for Wetherspoons - the feel of a pub, in a major airport, and around 5 a pint, plus basic, tasty and affordable food. Nice staff. No complaints from me.
